Who are we?

We are a very small business in the UK started by a Mum of two girls while on maternity leave.

The idea behind Mama Bear Library was to bring to New Mums the expertise of authors of parenting books at a time they need it most. The first years of a childs development are so formative. Learning about this early stage and parenting techniques helps both the child and parents.

At Mama Bear Library, we have carefully curated a list of books that will help in pregnancy, labour and birth, parenting, mindset, weaning, making money online and so much more! Plus who doesn't love stationary? We want our Mama Bears to feel organised and supported.

Our values

What does Mama Bear remind you of? For us it's the fierce protectiveness of a mother for her child. There are many ways we can give our child the best we can. One aspect of that is for us to learn about these early stages of child development. Reading is a big part of that. Plus when children see us read, they will likely follow our lead and that will have a ripple effect in itself.

Mama Bear Llibrary is about a love of books. It is also about the knowledge we gain and pass on to our children, to break generational trauma and to find our own way to parent, to find support when there is little around.

We want to build a supportive community of new mums. We want our children to be the best version of themselves and for Mums to be thriving while parenting as well. Motherhood is a tough journey and it doesn't come with a manual...but maybe we can build a library instead.
